Chinese provocation at the border

indo-china

India and China are not on good terms. Our External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, has openly admitted to it. The clashes at Doklam and Ladakh during the peak of Covid has not been settled completely. India is fully ready to face any situation.

2022 is not 1962 and India is not the old India, when we used to be afraid when China rolls its eyes. Those times are over. China is anxious of India’s growth. China is vying to be a strong country, surpassing even the United States. The communist country was journeying towards its ultimate aim, when nature unexpectedly put brakes on their growth in the form of Covid epidemic.

When the world believes that the deadly Covid epidemic originated from a lab in China, the Chinese authorities continue to deny that accusation. Covid’s third wave has completely shook the communist country. Reports have come say that the people have took to the streets in protests against China’s strict regulations. Wester media are saying that the people are also challenging the political leadership of the country.

Chinese leaders fear that India might reap the benefit from China’s losses. India’s greatest strength is its democracy. Whereas the modern world does not accept China’s totalitarian system. It fears that India might get an upper hand on the global stage. It is that fear and anxiety that has led to their adventures on the Indo-China border.

The Chinese military tried to infiltrate into Indian territory at Tawang sector in Arunachal Pradesh. Our brave soldiers stalled their infiltration and chased them out. Indian soldiers are ready to thwart any infiltration bid anywhere on the border. At Tawang, Indian soldiers gave the Chinese a fitting reply and drove them across the border.

Kilometers of Indian territory, which includes Manasarovar are in the hands of the Chinese now. In addition, they are trying to grab more land from India and also trying to divert the attention from domestic unrest in the country.

Both India and China are nuclear power countries. Therefore, a direct confrontation is highly improbable. But provocations, like this, at the border can happen again. India has the power to thwart it. However, it is better that both the countries begin dialogues to ease the tension and to find solution peacefully.
