KOLKATA: A person with suspected links to the terror outfit Islamic State (ISIS) has been arrested by Kolkata Police's Special Task Force (STF) on Monday. The arrested has been identified as Abdul Raquib Qureshi (33). The police said he has pledged his allegiance to ISIS. He was arrested from Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh.
A mobile phone, pen drive and some articles were recovered from him. The development comes two days after STF arrested two ISIS terrorists. On January 6, the STF arrested two technology graduates with links to ISIS from Howrah. They planned to carry out terrorist attacks in different parts of the country.
The arrested youths with suspected ISIS links are Abdul Malik and Saeed Ahmed. Abdul Malik is an M.Tech graduate. Syed Ahmed is an IT engineer. The police also stated that he has expertise in technology and dark web.
