MUMBAI: Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya's response to a fan while taking a selfie is going viral. The incident occurred when Hardik was leaving a restaurant after a Christmas party with his girlfriend, Mahieka Sharma. A large crowd was outside to see the star. After holding the door open for his girlfriend, the star posed for some fans to take selfies.
'You have already taken pictures. How many more do you want?', Pandya asked his fans. Pandya was trying to get back to his car after taking a selfie with some people in the crowd, when a fan, angry at not getting a selfie, hurled vitriol at the star. Even though the fan shouted 'Go to hell', Hardik kept his composure and went back to his car without looking back.
It is not clear whether the player heard this or deliberately ignored it. The video of the incident is viral on social media. In the footage, some people can be seen trying to take selfies with Hardik while he was getting back into his car.
Hardik Pandya is back in the Indian team after being ruled out due to a quadriceps injury and is set to return to the T20I series against South Africa. He has scored 142 runs and taken three wickets in four matches. In the last match, Hardik scored 63 runs off just 25 balls, including five sixes and five fours. Hardik also holds the record for the second-fastest half-century in the fifth T20I.
