MUMBAI: Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan led Team India to a thrilling victory against Pakistan in the Twenty20 World Cup. Ishan scored 77 runs off 40 balls as India won by 61 runs. Ishan is in the form of his life while rumours are rife about the star cricketer’s purported marriage plans.
There were rumours after the cricketer’s grandfather gave a hint that the star would soon marry model Aditi Hundia. However, Ishaan's mother, Suchitra Devi, denied the news.
“This is not the time for marriage, but for him to focus on the sport. He is not old enough to talk about marriage. Grandfather might have talked in the excitement of such news appearing on social media. As of now, we are not considering marriage," Suchitra Devi told IANS.
Earlier, Ishaan's grandfather, Anurag Pandey, had confirmed Ishan’s relationship with Aditi Hundia and said that the priority would be given to their happiness and nothing could stop them from getting married.
Apart from batting, Ishan also shone behind the wicket. It was Ishan's agile move, which dismissed the dangerous Usman Khan through stumping, when the match was at a crucial juncture.
