MELBOURNE: Since his retirement presser went viral for mentioning topics like immigrant rights and religion, Australian cricketer Usman Tariq Khawaja and his family have been under severe cyber-attacks. The player had earlier announced that he would be ending his international career after the fifth Test of the Ashes series that began today. The player had also openly admitted in a press conference that he had faced racial discrimination from the team because of his Pakistani origin. After this revelation, the cyber-attacks against Khawaja and his family intensified.

Cyber-attacks are no new for the Australian cricketer as Khawaja and his family previously came under massive cyberattack during the December terror attack on Sydney's Bondi Beach, which killed 15 people at a Jewish Hanukkah festival. The cyber-attacks targeted Khawaja after the initial reports suggested a Pakistani national was behind the attack.

And now, Khawaja's wife, Rachel, shared screenshots of the hateful comments on social media. The comments even portray Khwaja's two little girls as terrorists. Many vile comments said the two children of the cricketer are prospective school shooters. Some others in the comment section asked the cricketer and his family to move to Pakistan.
