DUBAI: India won the toss against Pakistan in the Asia Cup Super-Four clash and elected to field first. Zimbabwean match referee Andrew John Pycroft will control the game today. The Pakistan team head earlier demanded that ICC remove Pycroft from his role as referee after the Indian team captain refused the customary handshake with the Pakistan captain while at the toss during the last game. Adding fuel to the drama, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav refused a handshake with Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha during the toss today.
India made two changes to the playing XI, with Malayali star Sanju Samson continuing as wicketkeeper. Pacers Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana have been dropped from the team that played against Oman, while star pacer Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Varun Chakravarthy have returned to the team. Pakistan also made two changes from the team that played in their last match against the UAE.
