CHENNAI: The printing on the T-shirt worn by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who arrived at the Chennai airport ahead of playing for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, had gone viral. Fans discovered that the symbols on Dhoni's T-shirt were Morse code for sending telegram messages and made it viral by decoding it. The message 'One Last Time' was printed on the T-shirt. With this, fans were sure that this would be Dhoni's last season for the Chennai Super Kings.

Dhoni had not responded to the speculations that arose at that time. Now the player has clarified this matter. Dhoni has responded that he does not intend to say goodbye to Chennai Super Kings anytime soon. He was talking to Jio Hot Star. He said that he will play for Chennai for as long as he wants. "I can play for as long as I want for CSK. That's my franchise. Even if I'm in a wheelchair, they'll drag me," he said.

Dhoni, 43, has been a star for Chennai Super Kings since the first season of the IPL in 2008. Dhoni has never left Chennai, except for playing in a different jersey during the two seasons when the team was banned. Dhoni led Chennai until 2023. Fans have been addressing Dhoni as Thala since he joined CSK. Dhoni had injured his knee during the 2023 IPL season. Following this, he underwent surgery.
