Sanju arrives in CSK team bus, franchise welcomes Malayali star with mass video

CHENNAI: After the Twenty20 World Cup victory, the love and admiration for Malayali superstar Sanju Samson have increased among fans. The player will next be seen in the upcoming IPL season, which is set to begin in a few days. His arrival at Chennai Super Kings this season is now being widely celebrated by the franchise. Fans have warmly received visuals of Sanju arriving at the airport and getting into a car, followed by images of him training alongside MS Dhoni and chatting during a break. A mass video of Sanju arriving in the team bus has also gone viral.

The video begins with a child asking in Malayalam, “Mother, where are we going?” The mother replies, “We are going to our town, dear.” The child then asks, “Is this our new home, ma?” The mother responds, “From here on...this is also our home, son.” At that moment, as the conductor blows the whistle, Sanju steps out of the bus. The video then displays a message in Tamil and English: “The whole world can be attained if one acts at the right time and at the right place.” The message refers to Sanju, who won the T20 World Cup.

Sanju is switching franchises after spending 11 seasons with the Rajasthan Royals. He has joined Chennai for Rs 18 crore. In exchange, star players Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran have moved to Rajasthan Royals. Reports suggest that Sanju may also take up the role of vice-captain for the team.
