NEW DELHI: Malayali batsman Sanju Samson will make his debut in the Twenty20 World Cup today. Sanju is included in the playing eleven for the match against Namibia. Sanju was called to the playing eleven after regular opener Abhishek Sharma got sidelined due to physical discomfort. Namibia won the toss and sent India to bat.

India enters the field with two changes from the match against the United States. Sanju Samson has come in place of Abhishek Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah for Mohammed Siraj.

Meanwhile, the team sheet suggests that Ishan Kishan will be behind the wicket. Sanju's poor performance in the series against New Zealand before the World Cup cost him a spot in the playing eleven. Yesterday, Sanju underwent hours of rigorous training with the Indian team at nets in Delhi. It is reported that the Kerala batsman has revived his confidence and is ready to prove his mettle.

Indian Team: Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah
