NEW DELHI: A deal for the biggest player transfer in IPL history will likely be finalised in 48 hours. Former Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson is likely to join Chennai Super Kings. In return, all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran are reportedly set to join Rajasthan Royals. All three players have agreed to the transfer, reports Cricbuzz.
However, neither team has officially informed the BCCI about the details of the player transfer. Since the transfer involves foreign player Sam Curran, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) is required to complete the formalities. This has to be provided by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
Sanju has been with Jaipur-based Rajasthan Royals for the past 11 years. At the end of this year's IPL, Sanju hinted at a change in his career. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja, a veteran of Chennai Super Kings, debuted with Rajasthan during the 2008 season. Apart from being the leading player in the team, Jadeja also captained the team when MS Dhoni stepped down in 2022 season. Meanwhile, 27-year-old English all-rounder Sam Curran has also played for CSK and Punjab Kings in the past.
