WASHINGTON: An Indian man was beheaded at a motel in the US after an argument related to work, in Dallas. The dead is Chandra Nagamallaiah (50) from Karnataka and an employee of the motel. The police have arrested Yordanis Cobos-Martinez (37) in connection with the incident.

Yordanis and another employee were cleaning the room of the motel. In the meantime, Nagamallaiah came there and asked another employee to tell Yordanis not to use the broken washing machine. Yordanis was upset as Nagamallaiah, asked another employee to translate his instructions instead of addressing him directly. The accused then with a machete stabbed Nagamallaiah multiple times. Nagamallaiah tried to run down the parking lot, but was chased by the accused. Nagamallaiah’s wife and 18-year-old son tried to stop Yordanis, but he pushed them away, beheaded the victim and kicked his head.

A video of the accused picking up Nagamallaiah’s head and carrying it to the dumpster had gone viral. The Indian Consulate condoled the death. The Consulate General said that they are in touch with the family and offering all possible assistance. The police said Yordanis has a prior criminal history.
