Mystery unfolds; Trump to release crucial information on extraterrestrial life

WASHINGTON: No matter how many discoveries humans make, the question of extraterrestrial life still remains unanswered. Is there really life beyond Earth? Have aliens ever visited our planet? Do they look like what we see in movies? Many such questions still have no clear answers. Several theories about extraterrestrial life continue to circulate, and one of them is linked to the US government. It is often claimed that the US military and scientific agencies have been studying this subject for many years.

Area 51, a highly secure zone of the US Air Force located in Nevada, is often at the centre of such theories. Many theories suggest that alien spacecraft are stored there. Many people have also claimed to have seen unidentified objects moving at high speed in the sky near the area and say there are videos of such sightings. Spread across vast desert land in Nevada, what exactly happens inside Area 51 is not known to the public. Entry is strictly restricted, and it is described by the government as a highly classified research facility. Some conspiracy theories even suggest that captured flying objects and extraterrestrial beings are kept there.

Now, the issue may be heading towards a major development. Last Thursday, US President Donald Trump shared a statement on his Truth page about the matter. He said the government would begin steps to release files related to extraterrestrial life.

“Considering the huge public interest, I have directed officials to start the process of releasing government files related to extraterrestrial life, life beyond Earth, unidentified aerial phenomena, and unidentified flying objects. All other information connected to these complex, interesting, and important subjects will also be included,” Trump wrote. However, it is still unclear when the documents will be released.
