WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump said that his next target after Iran is Cuba. The US had imposed an energy ban on the Caribbean Island of Cuba after the war against Iran. Trump's response was addressed to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, son of Cuban immigrants.
‘We have to solve this first, complete it. You and many others are going to return to Cuba,’ Trump said this in White House.
The US imposed the energy ban following the arrest of former President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela, Cuba's main oil supplier. No oil has been imported to Cuba since January 9. As a result, airlines have been forced to cut services to the country. The economic crisis in Cuba has also worsened.
Reports say the US is reportedly ready to continue the war against Iran until September. The US intelligence presence in the region has also been increased. Trump has previously said that the conflict will last for about a month. However, Trump has warned that it could last longer. The US is also reportedly moving to create an armed rebellion against Iran within the country. The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence has accused the US of holding talks with Kurdish armed groups in the western regions of the country. The US' goal is to unleash a rebellion against Iranian security forces.
