ATHENS: Two members of a terrorist organization functioning with the aim to exterminate Israelis and Jews have been arrested. The terrorists, who are Pakistani nationals, were arrested by the Greek police on Tuesday. It was Mossad, the Israeli spy agency, that passed on the information about the terrorists. The Israeli Prime Minister's Office confirmed the arrest of the terrorists and issued a statement in this regard. It has been found that they were operating as part of a terrorist network from Iran.

The statement says that Iran's attempt to target the Israelis and Jews abroad has been foiled. The Mossad tracked down those working for this purpose in Greece, their methods of operation, and their ties to Iran. After this, the information was handed over to the police systems in Greece.

The suspects, aged 27 and 29, were questioned at police headquarters in central Athens. Information about a third person has also been obtained from them. Greek police said that the ones who got arrested were trying to undermine the country's sense of security. The terrorists had already chosen the location of the attack in Greece and the plans for the attack were also made. The arrest happened after the final instruction to carry out the attack was received.

Israel's Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said that the Ayatollah regime in Tehran was exporting terrorism to the Middle East, Mediterranean, and other parts of the world. "Mossad will try to ensure the safety of our citizens wherever Iran tries to operate," he said. He also thanked Greece for arresting the terrorists.
