KUWAIT CITY: A young man and woman, both expatriates, were arrested by the Kuwait police in a drug case. The two were arrested following a raid conducted based on confidential information. The raid was conducted at their residence in Block 2 of Jahra. It was the young man who opened the door. Upon entering, the police also found a woman inside. The police received shocking details upon questioning the woman.

When asked for identification documents, the woman replied that she had none. She stated that she had run away from her sponsor and that the young man was her boyfriend. She further revealed that her boyfriend was involved in drug trafficking. The woman then handed over a bag containing heroin to the police. Subsequently, the police conducted a raid in the house and discovered two gold necklaces, a bracelet, two rings and 500 Kuwaiti Dinars in addition to the heroin. The police said that the two were from the same country but were not married. Both suspects and the seized items have been handed over to the concerned department for further legal proceedings.
