Flight from Dubai to Thiruvananthapuram being delayed; 150 passengers stranded

DUBAI: The flight from Dubai to Thiruvananthapuram is being delayed indefinitely. The Air India Express flight IX 530, which was scheduled to depart at 6.05 am today, is being delayed.

The flight has not taken off even after hours of its scheduled departure time. 150 passengers, including women and children, are stranded. Meantime, Air India Express’ explanation is that the flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai was diverted to Ras Al Khaimah due to bad weather and that is why the service from Dubai to Thiruvananthapuram is being delayed. Passengers have been informed that the flight will depart at 10:30 am local time.
