ABU DHABI: A red alert has been issued in various parts of the UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, due to severe fog. The National Center for Meteorology has also issued a yellow alert in some areas. The fog is likely to spread across coastal and inland areas.
Police advised motorists to exercise special caution in the heavy fog and to drive according to the speed limits shown on electronic information boards. Heavy fog is experienced on the Al Ain-Abu Dhabi Road, Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road, Abu Dhabi-Dubai Highway, Al Khatim, Arjan, and Al Taweelah in Abu Dhabi. There is a warning of very low visibility in Al Ain's Sweihan, Jebel Ali, Al Minhad, and Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai.
UAE is experiencing foggy and cloudy weather. Winds are expected to gust up to 35 kilometres per hour, so caution is advised. The authorities also announced that the weather will be humid until tomorrow morning. There will be medium waves in the Sea of Oman and the Arabian Gulf.
