Murder reported by Sudanese citizen; Malayali expatriate Akhil Ashok Kumar killed by Saudi national

DAMMAM: A Thiruvananthapuram native was killed in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, following an argument. The deceased was identified as Akhil Ashok Kumar (28), a native of Aralamood. Akhil was killed last Friday during an argument with a Saudi national. The incident took place in Badiyah, Dammam.

His body was found as if he had fallen from the stairs. The Dammam native, who fled after the fight, was arrested. The police quickly arrested the murderer based on information provided by a Sudanese citizen who said he saw the two fighting. It is still not clear what caused the fight.

Akhil was working as an AC technician in Qatif, near Dammam. Akhil's family, consisting of his wife, father, and mother, were with him, but they returned to Kerala two weeks ago. Akhil's brother Adarsh ​​and relatives in Riyadh have reached Dammam and identified the body.
