Netanyahu is delusional, Qatari Emir strongly criticizes Israel

DOHA: The emergency Arab-Islamic summit convened by Qatar following the Israeli attack in Doha has begun. Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani said that Benjamin Netanyahu's dream of the Arab region coming under Israeli control is a delusion. The Qatari Emir asked why the discussion was held if the goal was to assassinate Hamas leaders.

Arab leaders have sharply criticized Israel at the summit. In addition to the Emir of Qatar, leaders including the UAE Vice President, the presidents of Turkey and Egypt, the Crown Prince of Kuwait, and the Deputy Prime Minister of Oman are participating in the summit. The stance taken by the leaders at the summit against Israel is crucial.

Netanyahu had earlier said that he takes full responsibility for the attack on Qatar. He also clarified that the attack was an independent decision by Israel. He was responding after meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Qatar's prime minister had called on the international community to stop applying “double standards” and to hold Israel accountable.
