NEW DELHI: 50,000 Indians will get jobs in Israel's industrial, construction and hotel sectors within five years. Money transactions can also be made through UPI in Israel. The important agreement came after talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Israel will help in setting up the Sudarshan Chakra, an internal defence system in India, on the Iron Dome model. There are indications that an agreement has been reached on defence deals, including this.

Indians will be given maximum opportunities in the retail, cleaning, logistics, warehousing, food processing, hospitality, textiles and electronics sectors. Indian enterprises in the food sales sector, including restaurants and cafes, will be encouraged in Israel. A Joint Coordination Committee will be set up to resolve labour disputes.

The Prime Ministers' meeting also reviewed the Gaza peace agreement, while both leaders condemned terrorism. PM Modi also met Israeli President Isaac Herzog. Modi visited the Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem with Netanyahu.
