TEL AVIV: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has shared a new video on social media following the spread of false reports about his death. The new video was posted from Netanyahu’s official account after earlier videos circulating online were claimed to be AI-generated by Grok, an AI chatbot on X (formerly Twitter). In the latest video, Netanyahu can be seen posing for photographs with members of the public and interacting with them.
Rumours that Netanyahu had been killed had spread widely on social media, especially as tensions continued to escalate in the conflict involving Iran.
Earlier, a video of Netanyahu addressing a press conference had circulated online. However, some social media users claimed that the clip was created using artificial intelligence. They pointed out that Netanyahu appeared to have six fingers on one hand in the video, which they said was a sign that the footage was AI-generated.
Following these claims, speculation about Netanyahu’s death gained momentum online. In response, Netanyahu shared another video in which he addressed the rumours and challenged people to count his fingers by raising his hands. However, that video was also claimed to be AI-generated by the Grok chatbot on X. Amid the continuing speculation, Netanyahu has now posted the latest video showing him interacting with the public, apparently to counter the rumours circulating on social media.
