
TEL AVIV: Iran has intensified its attack against Israel following the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. At least 10 people were killed and 27 were injured in an Iranian airstrike on the city of Beit Shemesh in Israel. The city is located about 30 kilometres from Jerusalem. Rescue teams and helicopter services are conducting search operations in the area. According to The Times of Israel, a missile struck a residential area in the city.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the country would continue its strong attacks against Israel. He stated that Iran would follow the path of Khamenei and that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic would intensify military operations. He warned that attacks on enemy military bases would continue. Reports also claim that Iran carried out strikes on 27 US military bases in West Asia and on Israeli military centres in Tel Aviv.
Iran’s attacks reportedly targeted Israeli and US facilities in several Middle Eastern countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Oman. In Kuwait, one person was killed and 32 others were injured in the attack, according to the health ministry. The injured people are receiving treatment at Al Adan Hospital.
