TEL AVIV: Tensions are escalating between Israel and Iran. Israel claims to have killed Iranian military commander and Khamenei's Close aide Ali Shadmani in last night’s airstrike in Tehran.
Gholam Ali Rashid, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was killed in Israeli strikes last week. Ali Shadmani was subsequently appointed as the new commander.
Iran confirmed 224 deaths and Israel 24 since the start of the conflict on Friday. Israel is hell-bent on bringing down the Ayatollah regime and is orchestrating sly moves to eliminate top cleric Ali Hosseini Khamenei.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has taken refuge in an underground bunker with his family. Khamenei is believed to be in Lavisan, northeast of Tehran. Israel had planned to assassinate Khamenei on Friday but backed out after US President Donald Trump intervened.
