TEHRAN: Iran submitted revised proposals for a ceasefire after US President Donald Trump rejected the earlier ones. Iran's official news agency said the report was submitted to the United States through Pakistan. However, Iran did not disclose the details of the proposals in the agreement.
Iran had earlier demanded an end to the naval blockade. But Trump announced that the blockade on Iranian ships would continue. Trump hopes that through the blockade on Iranian ports and ships, the Islamic nation can be pressured into implementing a ceasefire. Although the temporary ceasefire has been in effect since April 8, it is reported that the United States is preparing for further military action against Iran. The report also says that Iran has deployed air defence systems to counter any attack.
