DYFI terms BJP’s act of threatening youngsters with broom as ‘moral policing’

KOZHIKODE: The DYFI has decided to protest the incident of BJP Mahila Morcha threatening youngsters at the beach with brooms. The DYFI in a statement released said they will organize a protest evening in Konad Beach at 5 pm against BJP’s moral goondaism. Mahila Morcha's stand is not suitable for cultural Kerala. DYFI said moral goondaism will not be allowed under any circumstances.

BJP Mahila Morcha reached Konad beach in Kozhikode yesterday and threatened youngsters with brooms. Mahila Morcha chased away many including lovers alleging nuisance by anti-social elements. It is also alleged that despite the presence of the police at the spot, they did not intervene. The BJP Mahila Morcha said the protest will continue until the nuisance of anti-social elements ends.
