PATHANAMTHITTA: The tourists, who were stranded in the forest during the KSRTC's budget tourism trip to Gavi, have been brought back. A bus carrying 38 people from Chadayamangalam got stuck in the forest for several hours. The passengers, including women and children, were stranded after the bus broke down on the Gavi route. The passengers complained that there was a delay in sending a replacement bus.

The KSRTC bus from Chadayamangalam broke down around 11 AM at a place called Nalpathu in the forest area. A replacement bus arrived from Pathanamthitta around 3:30 PM, but passengers reported that this vehicle also had issues. Heavy rain added to the panic among the passengers. Finally, around 5:30 PM, another KSRTC bus from Kumily heading to Pathanamthitta picked up the passengers and dropped them off at a populated area in Moozhiyar.
