The Chase

Openers Travis Head 76 (30) and Abhishek Sharma 45 (24) gave Hyderabad a blistering start, putting on a 129-run partnership for the first wicket in just 8.4 overs. The tide briefly turned when Allah Ghazanfar struck twice on consecutive deliveries, removing Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan (who was playing for SRH in this matchup) for 0. Shortly after, when the score reached 133, Head was dismissed by Hardik Pandya.

However, Mumbai's hopes were quickly dashed by Heinrich Klaasen. Coming in at number four, Klaasen smashed a devastating 65* off 30 balls. He was well-supported by Nitish Kumar Reddy, who contributed 21 (17) before his dismissal. Salil Arora then stepped in, batting without pressure to guide Hyderabad past the finish line. Rickelton and Will Jacks 46 (22) provided a flying start, sharing a 93-run partnership in just 43 balls. The stand was broken when Nitish Kumar Reddy dismissed Jacks.
