40-year-old unmarried actress delivers twins, only one survives

Kannada actress Bhavana Ramanna, who embraced motherhood through IVF has given birth. It was earlier revealed that 40-year-old Bhavana is pregnant with twins. However, it is reported that one of the babies died during childbirth. Bhavana gave birth to girls. She lost one of her babies. Bhavana gave birth in late August.

The actress had some health issues in the third stage of pregnancy. The test revealed that one of the twins had health issues. The actress was then admitted to the hospital in the eighth month. It is reported that the mother and the baby girl are doing well.

Bhavana announced her pregnancy on July 4, 2025. Bhavana conceived the twins through IVF treatment through sperm donation. She announced the pregnancy along with a picture of herself with a full belly. This was widely discussed on social media.

'A new chapter, a new rhythm. I never thought I would say something like this. But here I am, six months pregnant. I am carrying twins. I never felt like a mother in my 20s and 30s. But when I turned 40, I felt that desire. As an unmarried woman, it was not easy. Many IVF clinics closed their doors in front of me.

I then met Dr Sushma and she helped me. I got pregnant on the first attempt. My father, brothers and loved ones stood by me with pride and love. Some questioned my choice. But I know my heart. My children may not have a father. But they will grow up in a home filled with art, music, culture and love,' Bhavana had written on Instagram at the time.
