'A very special day, something that happened years ago is coming to mind,’ says Suchitra Mohanlal

The pooja ceremony of the film Thudakkam, in which Mohanlal's daughter Vismaya is debuting, was held in Kochi Thursday morning. Vismaya was accompanied by her parents Mohanlal, Suchitra and brother Pranav to attend the ceremony. The film, produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, is written and directed by Jude Anthony Joseph. This is the film that Jude Anthony is directing after the film 2018, about floods. There is a villain in Thudakkam, but no hero. Suchitra is now revealing about Vismaya facing the camera for the first time.

‘Today is a very special day. My daughter is stepping into the film industry. Standing here, something that happened years ago comes to mind. When Pranav was 12, we made a film at home. The film was titled 'Angry Maya'. Maya (Vismaya) played the lead role in it and Appu (Pranav) was the director and I wielded the camera. I then never knew that these two would enter the film industry. Maya expressed her desire to act in movies a few years ago. That's how Thudakkam started.
