KOCHI: The release of 'Ajayante Randam Moshanam' starring Tovino Thomas has been temporarily stalled following a court order. The principal sessions court has taken action against the producers, UGM Productions, based on a complaint filed by Dr. Vineeth, a resident of Ernakulam.
The court has banned the theatrical, OTT, and satellite releases of the film. The producers had received Rs 3.20 crore from the complainant for the film's production, but allegedly sold the exhibition rights without his knowledge.
Jithin Lal, who directed the film, has previously assisted in films like 'Ennu Ninte Moideen', 'Kunjiramayanam', 'Godha', and 'Kalki'. The film was originally scheduled to be released in September amid the Onam festivities. Sujith Nambiar has written the story, screenplay, and dialogues of the film, which is produced by UGM Productions and Magic Frames.
