Deepak Dev reveals remuneration paid to Prithviraj's daughter Alamkrita for singing in Empuraan

Mohanlal-Prithviraj film 'Empuraan' is being shown in theatres, breaking all records of Malayalam cinema. The song 'Empuraane' has received a lot of applause in the film and trailer. This song has been sung by Prithviraj's daughter, Alamkrita Menon. Now, music director Deepak Dev has shared an incident that happened when he had Alamkrita sing the song. Deepak Dev shared this in an interview given to a media outlet.

'Not just Prithviraj; his daughter Alamkrita also sang for this movie. After singing, Alamkrita asked me, 'How much will you pay me?'. I said that I have not given anything to your father after he sang. She said, 'No, no, I want a remuneration.' So I said, 'Let's see what I can give you.' After singing the way she did, I should give you some gifts. I had asked what her favourite things were. Prithvi had said that she really likes Harry Potter. When I gave her some Harry Potter toys and some flowers, she was starry-eyed. She understood the emotions of the song that she had to sing after telling her once, and she sang the song in five minutes. Indrajith's daughter, Prarthana, also sang in the film," said Deepak Dev.
