NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday questioned former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan in connection with the illegal betting app case. The case, registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), is linked to the betting app 1xBet. Dhawan appeared at the ED office in Delhi around 11 a.m. yesterday to record his statement.

The ED suspects that Dhawan may have had links with the operators of the app, and the questioning was aimed at clarifying these connections. Earlier, the agency had questioned cricketer Suresh Raina and Telugu film actor Rana Daggubati in the same case.
