Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan said she often misses out on many things because she is not very active on social media. She also admitted that she did not know how to speak Malayalam fluently before entering films. Speaking to a YouTube channel, Kalyani shared her thoughts on using social media and its impact on actors.

“I am active on social media, but compared to others, I don’t share much about my life. Because of that, people may not really understand me. Social media often gives a negative vibe to many actors. For me, it has been different- some people call me a good girl, while others criticise me for not being able to speak Malayalam fluently,” she said.

Kalyani also recalled a difficult personal moment: “While I was on a film set, I came to know that my pet dog had passed away. I couldn’t stop crying, and those around me tried to comfort me. Losing a loved one is something I find very hard to bear. Only those who have pets will truly understand that pain.”

On her social media habits, she added, “I spend only about ten minutes a day online. My mother, however, believes I am India’s biggest superstar and thinks the entire internet is filled with me. She still doesn’t understand how algorithms work,” Kalyani said.
