'I was really shocked when they invited me to play the role of that Telugu star's mother, I said no'; Swasika opens up

Actress Swasika Vijay is a familiar face to the Malayalam film audiences. Although she has appeared in only a few films, each of her performances has been well-received. Now, a recent interview given by Swasika is going viral. In it, she revealed that she was once invited to play the role of Telugu actor Ram Charan’s mother.

“I was offered the chance to act as Ram Charan’s mother. But I refused. The offer was for the film Peddi. I am not usually very selective about roles, but when mother roles kept coming to me one after another, I started paying attention. I was shocked when I was called to play Ram Charan’s mother. It was a big-budget Telugu movie. Still, I said no,” Swasika said.

The actress's decision has garnered support from several fans in the comments section of her interview. Many also pointed out the age gap between the two actors-Ram Charan was born in 1985, while Swasika was born in 1991.
