IT Dept conducted raid at my house because of this film; Pearle Maaney makes revelation

The Income Tax Department had recently conducted raids at the houses of around 10 YouTubers in Kerala. The raids were conducted on a complaint related to tax evasion. Later, it was reported that the IT officials had found tax evasion of around 25 crore rupees. The officials also raided the house of actress and anchor Pearle Maaney. The actress, however, remained mum about the raid at the time. Now, Pearle has opened up about the raid through Meta's new app Threads.

'Recently there was an IT raid in my house...later I found out...They watched LUDO on Netflix and thought my character Sheeja was real... Watch LUDO On Netflix you will get the joke,' Pearle said.

Ludo is a film directed by Anurag Basu. In the film, Pearle played the character of Sheeja Thomas, a Malayali who tries to escape by stealing the money of a don.
