'They want me and Dain to be together; that relationship ended because of a certain issue'

Meenakshi Raveendran is a popular actress and television host who has won the hearts of Malayalam audiences. Meenakshi first gained attention as a contestant on a major TV show and soon transitioned into films. Rumours had circulated about a romantic relationship between her and actor-host Dain Davis, though nothing was confirmed. Meenakshi has also faced cyberbullying, particularly concerning her choice of clothing at public events. Speaking in a recent interview, Meenakshi opened up about facing cyberattacks regarding her outfits.

"I had hosted a show on a leading channel, and never did I wear revealing outfits on that show. So, the audience never viewed me negatively. After the pandemic, I attended a public event where there were many online media outlets present. I had dressed in an elegant way. However, the way the media portrayed it through their videos was very different. This continued to happen at other events too. People captured my photos and visuals from various angles, and that became an issue," Meenakshi said.

"I faced a lot of cyberattacks. Many said I was too skinny. People often speak up against body shaming, but honestly, there is no need to respond. Just ignore it. As for me and Dain, we are just friends. Most people ask whether we're in a relationship, and I've answered that enough times already. It's mostly the public that wants us to be together. I did have a romantic relationship when I was younger. But I believe a partner shouldn't decide who you should become. This led to the end of that relationship. I don't need such a relationship. Personally, I don't think marriage is necessary," Meenakshi added.
