The producer of the big-budget film sent a legal notice to actor Akshaye Khanna for withdrawing from the Ajay Devgn-starrer upcoming Bollywood film Drishyam 3. The film's producer, Kumar Mangat Pathak, sent a legal notice to Akshaye Khanna, alleging that the actor breached the contract. The producer said that the actor informed him through a text message about his decision not to act in Drishyam 3. Akshaye Khanna withdrew from the film after receiving the advance money.
Akshaye Khanna had re-enacted the role played by Murali Gopi in the Malayalam series Drishyam. Jaideep Ahlawat will play the role instead of Akshaye Khanna to avoid disrupting the shooting. The entire script of the film was explained to Akshaye Khanna, and the actor nodded his approval for the movie. Before signing the contract, an agreement was reached after discussing the remuneration three times. The contract was signed, and an advance was given. The notice states that the contract must be fulfilled, and if not, legal steps will be initiated. At the same time, Akshaye Khanna has not yet responded to the lawyer's notice.
Drishyam 3, written and directed by Abhishek Pathak, is produced by Alok Jain, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Ajit Andhare and Abhishek Pathak under the banner of Star Studio 18. The film stars Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead roles.
