'More of an emotion than belief'; Mohanlal visits Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Superstar Mohanlal paid a visit to the Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday. The actor participated in the ceremony of announcing the Murajapa Lakshadeepam. The Lakshadeepam announcement was received, and the announcement lamp (Vilambara Deepam) was lit, as the members of the Travancore royal family handed over the Vilambara Pathrika (ceremonial announcement paper) to Mohanlal.

Mohanlal said it was a blessing of Lord Sree Padmanabha that made him attend the ceremony.

“As someone who was born and brought up in Thiruvananthapuram, Sree Padmanabha Swamy and the incredible temple are more of an emotion than a belief.” Said Mohanlal.

A large crowd gathered in front of the temple after hearing the news of Mohanlal’s arrival at the temple. Mohanlal was brought inside the temple after a security cordon was set up amidst the crowd.
