On-road action; Navya Nair chases and stops trailer truck that hit cyclist Rameshan

THURAVOOR: Actress Navya Nair has come to the rescue of a cyclist who was injured in a lorry accident. The trailer truck, which did not stop after hitting Rameshan, a resident of Hari Nivas in Pattanakkad 5th ward, was followed by Navya Nair in a car and stopped. The incident took place near the Indian Coffee House in Pattanakkad at 8.30 am on Monday. Rameshan's bicycle was hit by a Haryana-registered trailer truck that came with pillars for the renovation of the national highway. The trailer truck, which did not stop, was then followed by Navya in her vehicle and stopped. Navya called the control room as well. Following this, the highway police and Pattanakkad ASI Tresa reached the spot and took the trailer truckinto custody.

The injured Rameshan was shifted to Thuravoor Taluk Hospital in a highway police vehicle and later to a private hospital.
