Prithviraj to direct Mohanlal in next; details of film out

Reports said Prithviraj will direct Mohanlal in his next film after Empuraan. Prithviraj too will have an important role in the film. The films Prithviraj directed are Lucifer, Bro Daddy and Empuraan with Mohanlal in lead roles. The fourth film has Fahadh Faasil. The fifth film will be Empuraan’s third part. The new film, a fun family entertainer, is likely to start by the mid of this year. Jux Bejoy composes music for the film.

Meantime, amidst controversies, the re-edited version of Empuraan has hit the theatres today. Following widespread protests, 24 parts of Empuraan were cut from the film as requested by the producers. The re-edited version, which was cut by 2.08 minutes, hit the theatres today from morning show. The film was re-certified by the censor board committee comprising Swaroopa Kartha, K Roshni Das, G M Mahesh, M M Manjushan, and T Nadeem Tufail.

The censor document had been released detailing the changes. The name of the villain Bajrangi has been renamed as Baldev in the film. The word NIA has been muted. The scenes showing sexual assault against women and the conversation about the color of the national flag have also been changed.
