'Renowned actress introduced by Prem Prakash, regular at stage shows; she got angry at him when he made that request'

Prem Prakash is a veteran producer and actor who has made remarkable contributions to Malayalam cinema. Many well-known actors, including Ashokan and Rahman, made their debut through his productions. Now, actor and director Alleppey Ashraf has come forward, revealing some of the unfortunate experiences Prem Prakash had to face in the film industry. Ashraf made these revelations through his YouTube channel.

Ashraf mentioned that Prem Prakash introduced three major actors to Malayalam cinema through his films—Ashokan, Rahman, and Biju Menon. It was also through his film Koodevide that actress Suhasini was introduced to the Malayalam audience. Despite these contributions, Prem Prakash had to endure some painful incidents during his film career.

"During the filming of Ee Kaikalil, while shooting in Madras, Prem Prakash was involved in a serious accident. While he was speaking with director K. Madhu, he was accidentally shot in the stomach when someone from the production team mishandled a gun that was supposedly being checked. He was immediately taken to the hospital and underwent surgery. At the time, some reports in Tamil Nadu even falsely claimed he had passed away.

Another incident happened during the shoot of the film Evidey, directed by K.K. Rajeev. On the final day of the shoot, there were still two scenes left to be filmed. Everyone was getting ready for the scene. Suraj Venjarammoodu and a popular actress were supposed to act in that scene. However, Suraj arrived late to the location. The actress, who insisted she would leave on time regardless of who arrived or not, was annoyed. She sat in her caravan and refused to come out.

Prem Prakash then personally requested her to cooperate and complete the scene, but she got angry with him as well. Eventually, the final scene had to be shot without her. Even after the shoot, she remained in her caravan. Ironically, it was Prem Prakash who had given this actress her first opportunity in films. He had expressed deep disappointment over the incident and had asked me not to reveal her name. The actress is also known for performing in stage shows with other artists. This is the kind of ingratitude he faced," Alleppey Ashraf said.
