Tharun Moorthy-Mohanlal-Meera Jasmine movie to start rolling in Thodupuzha, Aashiq Usman shares big update

After the superhit ‘Thudarum’, Mohanlal is teaming up with director Tharun Moorthy for a cop movie. The shooting will start in Thodupuzha on January 23. Producer Aashiq Usman announced this through his Instagram story. Aashiq Usman announced the date of the film's shooting by sharing a picture of director Tharun on location hunt.

Mohanlal plays the role of a police officer in this movie written by Ratheesh Ravi. Binu Pappu is the creative director. Aashiq Usman is producing it under the banner of Aashiq Usman Productions. This is also the first film in which Mohanlal will team up with Aashiq Usman Productions. To add to the wow factor, the makers have roped in erstwhile superheroine Meera Jasmine to play the female lead in the film. Prakash Varma, Irshad and others will also be part of the cast.

The film was initially announced to be directed by debutant Austin Dan, starring Mohanlal and Meera Jasmine in the lead roles. However, after that project was dropped, Aashiq Usman announced a new film with Tharun Moorthy as the director. Aashiq Usman had earlier clarified that this movie was not the one discussed with Austin.
