Vertu phones super trending after Fahadh Faasil's viral video

Only a minuscule section of society still relies on keypad phones, the erstwhile wonder. Celebrities in Mollywood are known to flaunting their expensive new gadgets in public, and not many would risk damaging their image by flaunting anything inferior in public. However, actor Fahadh Faasi has other plans.

The actor who appeared in the Pooja ceremony of Naslen’s new movie was seen using a keypad phone, and the video of this went viral on social media. Many heaped praises on the actor for being so modest in real life, too. However, a detailed check on his gadget on social media proved to be a different case.

The phone Fahadh used was found to be costing $1199, which is about over one lakh rupees, on shopping sites. Shipping to India means that the price will rise further.

The Vertu phone features a 2-inch QVGA sapphire crystal display and hand-made artistry. The phone supports 3G/quad band GSM, Bluetooth, micro USB connectivity, a 3-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, 4GB of on-board memory, and a web browser.
