Actor Unni Mukundan is in shock after a passenger plane crashed during takeoff in Ahmedabad. Unni Mukundan lived in Maninagar, Gujarat, from childhood until the age of 24. The passenger plane crashed in Meghani Nagar, ten kilometres from Maninagar. Unni Mukundan says that he has not yet recovered from the shock of the tragic news of the passenger plane crash. Like Kerala, Gujarat is also his favourite state. Unni Mukundan told the media that this tragedy has happened very close to the place where he played and grew up as a child and that he and his family are very sad.

“I came to know that the plane crash took place in Meghani Nagar, ten kilometers away from Maninagar, Ahmedabad. Maninagar is where I lived for 24 years. Like Kerala, Gujarat is my also favourite state. My childhood and adolescence were there. Any accident in Gujarat is a heartbreaking thing. It is the same for me and my family. This news is causing immense grief to my heart.

It is understood from the news that the respected former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was also on the plane. I pray that the souls of those who lost their lives in the accident may rest in peace. I also pray that their families may be given the strength to overcome this difficult time. Such a tragedy should never happen anywhere. My school friends and I are in shock. This is a very heartbreaking news. I am unable to speak any more. ” – Unni Mukundan said.
