Former principal and motivational speaker held for attempt to sexually abuse minor girl

KANNUR: Former principal of a higher secondary school and motivational speaker K C Shaju (59) has been arrested for attempting to sexually abuse a 17-year-old girl. Shaju of Muzhakkunnu Edathotty Kottayad was arrested by the Muzhakkunnu police. The complaint is that he tried to abuse the girl when she came to him for counselling. Reports say that similar complaints have been filed against him before. He was produced in the Mattanur court and remanded.

After retiring as principal, Shaju was working as a state faculty for career guidance and adolescent counseling of the higher secondary department. He also regularly made motivational videos on social media. He had also taken several awareness classes for the education department. He had worked as a psychologist, physiotherapist and life skills trainer.

Former police officer and motivational speaker Philip Mampadan was recently arrested on the complaint of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl. The girl in her complaint alleged that she was raped at a lodge in Kanhangad and Nilambur. Philip Mampad has a lot of followers on social media. He had shared several videos. He had also taken classes, including in educational institutions.
