Former ward member found hanging at house, daughter found dead in adjacent room

CHITHARA: A former ward member who attempted suicide in Chithara, Kollam, has died. The deceased has been identified as Sindhu, a CPM ward member from Vattamuttam. She died while undergoing treatment.

Sindhu’s daughter, Lakshmi, was found dead earlier. On Thursday afternoon, Lakshmi was found lying unconscious on the floor inside the house, while Sindhu was found hanging in the adjacent room. Marks were also found on Lakshmi’s neck.
