24-year-old woman falls from roller coaster ride in Delhi park, dies tragically in front of fiancé

NEW DELHI: A 24-year-old woman died tragically after falling from a roller coaster at an amusement park in the national capital. The incident took place in New Delhi last Thursday at around 6:30 pm. Priyanka, who was working as a sales manager at a telecom company in Chanakyapuri, died in the accident at the Fun and Food Village park near the Kapashera border.

Priyanka had arrived at the park with her fiancé Akhil. While sitting on the roller coaster, the stand collapsed as it reached the top of the swing, and Priyanka was thrown into the air. A seriously injured Priyanka was rushed to the hospital, but her life could not be saved. The police registered a case and started an investigation into the incident.

Priyanka's brother, Mohit, alleged that negligence from the park authorities led to her death. The family alleged that safety standards were not followed in the park and that Priyanka was taken to the hospital too late after the accident.

Meanwhile, the park authorities have not yet responded to the incident. Priyanka and Nikhil got engaged in January 2023. They were months away from getting hitched.
