NEW DELHI: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) temporarily suspended all civil flight operations at 32 airports across India. The airports will remain closed from May 9 to May 14, 2025.

AAI had confirmed shutting down 24 airports on May 8 in the wake of the India-Pakistan conflict. Following this, information emerged that the closure would extend until the 15th. The AAI's move comes amid rising tensions in the region as Pakistan continues to carry out drone and missile attacks, focusing on Jammu, Punjab and Rajasthan.

Although Indian defence systems have neutralized all Pakistan projectiles, aviation security has been significantly enhanced. As part of this, flight services to and from some airports in India have been cancelled. Many airlines have also provided a full refund or travel rescheduling facility for passengers who have already booked tickets.
