400 kilos of ganja hidden under coconuts seized near Ramoji Film City

HYDERABAD: The police have seized 400 kg of ganja worth Rs 2 core from near the Ramoji Film City. The ganja seized was brought to smuggle it to Rajasthan. The ganja was seized in a joint operation conducted by the Regional Narcotics Control Cell of the Khammam Wing of Telangana's Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement and the Rachakonda Narcotics Police.

The smuggling came to light when a goods vehicle was stopped and inspected near Ramoji Film City within Rachakonda limits. The officers found the large haul of drugs hidden under the coconuts. Three were arrested in the incident. All three belong to Rajasthan. The police said that a case has been registered against them. Police said more people are involved in the smuggling. The police have launched an extensive investigation into the main suspects.
