NEW DELHI: All six Congress MLAs in Bihar are rumoured to be joining Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal United. It is said that the Congerss MLA’s are unhappy with the functioning of the state Congress and have not attended recent party events. However, the Congress denied the rumours.

The absence of MLAs Manohar Prasad Singh (Manihari), Surendra Prasad (Valmiki Nagar), Abhishek Ranjan (Chanpatia), Abidur Rahman (Araria), Mohammed Kamrul Hoda (Kishanganj) and Manoj Biswan (Forbesganj) was noticeable at the 'Dahi Chura' function organised by the Congress in Patna.

Neither Surendra Prasad nor Abhishek Ranjan attended the meeting called by PCC President Rajesh Ram on the 8th to campaign for job security. The Congress said that the MLAs would continue in the party and that news to the contrary was politically motivated.
